RJ: Dressing up is all well and good but it is very inconvenient. Personally, jeans and t-shirt is the best thing. Dresses are just annoying.

Topiary: A scarf would have been perfect underneath my black fascinator. Would have kept my hair smooth and silky.

We should swap hair. Then we would be happy with the end result on a rainy day.

Am reminded of perhaps the value of head scarves a la' her Majesty. Though it would not have gone with the dress I supposed. Just imagine the fascinator perched above a nice plaid scarf.

Well I enjoyed this and really emphathize because rain and wet does the exact opposite to me: turns my carefully waved hair flat, flat, and flatter, and straight, and stringy, and even more straight.

I've never gotten a day at the races out of it though!

Too bad there isn't youtube of this especially the 3 glasses of champagne and the kitten heels in mud. oh my.

I did have to look up fascinator. I am sure you looked lovely. The women dress up like that for the Kentucky Derby here in the states.

I am sure it looked quite comical trying to stay dry, keep your dress from blowing up over your head and not losing a shoe in the mud!

All in all, I am glad you had a fun day.
